The Weeping Angel
Aureole is a perfectionist and the lack of organization in Seeking Clan(Now called Clan Ton Theon) angered her. When she joined the clan she expected to be welcomed and celebrated, but instead she was met with disappointment.
She hated the way Nightbane ran the clan. All she saw was no discipline and utter chaos. It seemed to her that a dragon could get away with anything in this clan, and that was no way for a clan to be run. She also faced some grief from Neith about the way she looks. Neith thought Aureole was ill due to her pale coloring.
But Aureole is not ill, rather she is blessed. Her coloring is a blessing from the Lightweaver, her colors and markings are passed on from her parents. She can shape shift, but she can only take two forms, a dragon form, and a humanoid form. This ability is hereditary and came with the Lightweaver's blessing.
Aureole planned to turn her new clan into a utopia and she sided with Shiningscourge and the Illuminists during the civil war. Shining had trained her and claimed that she would help Aureole gain power in the clan.
Aureole was asked to convince another shapeshifter, Inkdrop to join the Illuminists. Shining said she needed Inkdrop's powers to help takeover the clan. Aureole tried, but Inkdrop had sensed the malicious attempt behind her words. Aureole, out of frustration attacked Inkdrop, and Inkdrop's response was to attack her back. Inkdrop created a weapon from her own blood and stabbed Aureole with it.
Aureole was poisoned from Inkdrop's toxic blood and would have died if Shining hadn't arrived with Niossa. Niossa's blue healing blood battled against Inkdrop's blood before it could kill Aureole.
Weakened and a failure, Shining imprisoned Aureole. Shining decided to use Aureole for what she wanted Inkdrop to do.
She turned Aureole into a Seal, a magical process that involved converting a dragon's magic into a protective sheild, at the cost of the dragon's body. Aureole was turned to stone in her humanoid form. Her hands cover her face, as if she is weeping. She stands on the top of the cliff the clan is settled next to and greets all who dare approach the barrier with her frozen crying.
The powerful barrier could have only been made from a dragon with remarkable powers, such as the ability to change shape. If it had been Inkdrop who the Seal was made from it could have been even more powerful.
Before Aureole was turned into a Seal she sent her Sunbeam Soldier to deliver a quickly written message to her father. She had recently heard that her father had became a god; The God of Deceit. She being desperate for help hoped he would save her since she is his daughter.
He had responded to her letter and agreed to help her. He lent her some of his power and released her from her stone prison. On the condition that she kill Shiningscourge and take over the clan.
Aureole now lurks in the clan. She uses her father's power to hide herself. Her weeping statue still stands guard over the clan and the magical barrier is still in tact. But thanks to her father, she can maintain the shield, statue and her current physical from at the same time.
She's not sure where her limits are, so she uses her new power carefully, and won't dare to move too far from her statue. She is still connected to it in some way, though she's unsure how, and what consequences may occur if she leaves it.
She's been spying on Shining, but she has no idea how to kill her. She's too frightened of her to try. But she's more afraid of what her father might do to her if she fails.
When she was younger she admired and looked up to her father. She wanted to follow in his footsteps. He obviously knows what he's doing if he became a god after all. But now that she's older, she's starting to see that her father may not be a nice man.
Aureole is terrified of him.
Now her stature had been broken and she used Sepulchral to destroy her connection with it. She pretended to love him an manipulated him so that he would care for her and protect her. Sepulchral was a strong, powerful dragon and Aureole knew that if she had him she stood a chance if her father had ever tried to harm her.
She accepted that she could not kill Shining. She was too much of a coward. She was too weak.
Now Sepulchral is dead and her only hope of safety is gone.
Aureole now hides and prays to whatever gods may be merciful to her.
