As is the way of her clan she must earn her name, she’s one of many children born to her parents so there is little she can do that the others have not done. She is not alone in this struggle but she feels no solidarity with her siblings who never speak to her unless needed, too absorbed in their own advancement. As an Arcane dragon she has a natural affinity for magic yet she flinches back from it like it is poison. The Starfall Isles choke her and loom over her head threatening to topple on her head. She doesn’t want to do some impossible feat for her name, names are important but to never give her anything to call herself only drives her spirit lower.

Then one day it hits her, she doesn’t have to do anything, she doesn’t have to stay in this choking pink land, she can /leave/ and earn her name some other way. So she does. It’s the land of Wind she’s drawn to, its flat plains and rustling bamboo are a balm to her soul. She finds herself much more inclined to use her magic because after breathing in this clean air she feels as if every inch of her has been purged. It’s among the breezes and currents that she finds a part of herself in the wind and begins to mold it to her will. Following her instincts she goes through arduous trial and error, refusing all offers of aid. She is an Arcane, it is their way to not be told how to do something but to find it themselves. This is something that will equate to every part of her life.
