HOARD
|
It wasn't common to see an Ice dragon in a Fire lair.
Of course, some were more tolerant of the heat than the others, but it was hard to get by.
Shimiru liked the heat, though.
The calm tundra wasn't one to let anything bother her.
She could stand the heat, anyways.
It wasn't as if she had been in worse situations before.
The hardy tundra refused to let the heat bother her.
Although she had grown up in the freezing terrain of the Icewarden's domain, she liked the change of weather.
It hadn't been easy after her banishment from the previous clan.
And it hadn't even been her fault.
Shimiru had wandered from the sickly wastelands of the Abiding Boneyard to the Starfall Isles, until she had found this clan.
And they had welcomed her in, unaware of the reason of her banishment.
And Shimiru never told them.
It was hard for a dragon practicing necromancy to be accepted in the clan.
Which was why she had never mentioned her past.
Life was so fragile.
Which was a challenge she had been willing to take up.
Shimiru had loved bringing back the corpses of the other dragon's meals to life.
They had always looked so foolish, whipping their heads around angrily, demanding to know where their meals had gone.
Of course, they never questioned the quiet, gentle tundra.
The only other dragon who knew of this was Kekko, her own mate.
And he had sworn never to tell.
So Shimiru had continued with her work.
Slowly, but surely, with increasingly successful results.
Mistakes were so easy to cover up, with all those pools of red-hot lava nearby.
