Ursa may not be the oldest or wisest dragon out there, but she certainly is for the Alanias clan in which she resides. Seeing the young clan as they adjusted to the lush environment of the Everbloom Gardens, she drifted into their ranks; becoming a leader. The previously Earth-based clan was still weak and small, but Ursa guided them and helped them flourish in the jungle. With her expertise, they grew substantially, and found their identity in Nature.

When the time came however, for the clan to pick themselves up and settle elsewhere, Ursa had no other place to go. Seeing as she made a family in this clan she had adopted, she reluctantly went with them as they moved. Settling in the Hewn City, the clan wished to seek and discover its mysteries. Shifting to a more philosophic -rather than natural- mindset, the clan gave itself a name to be known by, the calling of the Alanias. Where the calling came from, or what it means, is unknown. All that is known is the term was found in some ancient scroll, so it must be important.

No longer able to guide them in the natural way she grew up with, she became an elder of the clan to simply tell stories and raise hatchlings. She resents the clan now, as they have become too proud and self-sufficient, and are no longer making the progress they used to.

Ursa may not be experienced in the tactics of war and siege, but her knowledge for all things natural makes her an incredible asset. She has no scars, and few signs that show her age, because of her natural remedies. She also dislikes apparel that shows her age, and adorns herself with dainty silks and jewels.
