Thankarat

Thankarat is a form of a Germanic name meaning "thought and counsel", derived from the elements thank "thought" and rad "counsel". This was the name of a leader of the First Crusade, described by Torquato Tasso in his epic poem 'Jerusalem Delivered' (1580).

Candle and I discovered an arcane egg while scavenging for supplies in the Crystal Pines. Rather than selling the exotic-looking egg, we hatched it, and found a strikingly colored Guardian hatchling. Thankarat grew up quiet and thoughtful, true to the nature of the flight he was born to, and has proved to be a font of carefully measured wisdom for the time we've had him. He is the father of the separated twins Aditya and Yamir, the sun and the moon, and I believe he sometimes grieves that we were not able to keep both of them together. These days, he utilizes his intellect by sometimes helping Minty out on her frequent excavations of the City, for which he has amassed a wide variety of high quality gear.
