Thoughts:

▸Vier: Arrogant, ignorant, overly curious and intrusive. Has potential

▸Hydrangia: Short-sighted, loyal, on the naive side but a good ally.

▸Phatom: Short, sassy, but loyal and trustworthy, there is no better friend to have.

▸Panorous: Sweet, friendly, feels like home and family. He's very self-conscious and self-loathing. Probably lonely in absence of the previous king.

▸Layek: Powerful, smart, wise, and very competent, it remains to be seen how loyal she is.

It is hard to know at what point Brigan became the Kingdom’s Spymaster but most people warrant a guess that this has probably been some part of his responsibilities from the beginning.

Brigan currently handles the recording the Kingdom’s history and, while most people agree it is good that they are recording events, a lot of people question if a member of the council is the best option for unbiased documents.

Letters from other kingdoms come to him in high volume, giving him information on all kinds of interesting goings ons in their potential oppentants. Despite how much he must know about what is going on he oftens decides to keep the majority of it to himself, even if it would likely be pertinent for the king to be aware of it. As time continues, and Brigan pulls further away from the position he has been keeping for some time, the spotlight moves further away from the spymaster and allows him to further whatever plans he may be keeping. It just remains to be seen how deep his loyalty runs for the new King.

▸Vinren: Cunning, clever, and very charming, she is manipulative but in a good way.

▸Valenin: Ignorant, arrogant, a little self-absorbed, but a strong-willed individual.

▸Fell: Reliable, loyal, competent, would make a good Knight.

▸Alistair: Bold, over confident, and naive. Easy mark.

Thoughts:

▸Atney: Arrogant, but charming like a fae. Ambitious, could be a good king if not so selfish.

▸Kinning: High energy, childish, but very perceptive and kind. King will probably like him.

▸Jurek: Strong-willed, calm, even-tempered, warm, kind of like the Founder.

▸Keyal: Loyal but not to the Kingdom, keep an eye on her.

Biography

Where he comes from is up for debate and is oftentimes a question overlooked by those within the kingdom. Brigan joined the kingdom under Vinren and Valenin, coming upon them as they were building the first huts that would turn into the townhouses of the Kingdom later, and he was quickly persuaded to stay by the Founding Queen. As the slowly growing group continued to overcome different challenges, the trust of the royals in the strange skydancer grew and, eventually, they offered him the honor of being part of the Council that would help them run the kingdom in the days to come. Brigan worked closely with the Queen, often seen shadowing her around the Kingdom and assisting her with her tasks. Every diplomatic meeting between them and a neighboring Kingdom? Brigan was present. All the tactics and scheming done for the war? Brigan helped her with that, too. The High Priest was a constant presence by Vinren’s side and he seemed to be her most trusted advisor.

Things continued like this for some time, the man continuing to prove his usefulness to the needs of the King and Queen, but this could not last forever. His world shifted as the King’s chosen son stood before the council for the first time, letter in hand, and broke the news that their previous leaders had left them in the dead of night… to join the war of the Gods. Brigan would have left then if not for a promise made, so he quickly became Vier’s right-hand man. Teaching him how to lead, how to present himself, finding every tutor he could to make the imperial a real King. Here, too, he proved his use as he stepped up to keep the Kingdom afloat. As the new King started to understand the nature of his post better Brigan slowly stepped back from the more visible role and back into his role of High Priest, relinquishing the power of the Kingdom to Vier despite his fears that the man might drive them into the ground with his inexperience.

Personality

His calm is a facade, his aloof nature, his cool, his prim behavior, all an attempt to fit the position he has found himself in. But the truth of the matter is that Brigan is passionate, stubborn, and fiery with the things that he cares for. It takes a lot of willpower to keep up his mask and only when pushed past the breaking point will his true character show. Spurned, this man is no longer the even-tempered individual he pretends to be. When his act is dropped he is quick to snap, quick to lash out, and he has no qualms with yelling or with ruining lives.

Manipulative, he uses his nature, the way he appears, and his title as High Priest to make other people help him with whatever he may need. Information flows easily for this man, and he takes advantage of any position of power others deem to give him and uses it as leverage to get people talking. People just seem to want to tell him about what troubles them, about the things they’ve overheard, about themselves…Despite this, Brigan seems uninterested in having full control of others, seeming to only enjoy a certain threshold of power before he becomes flighty about it.

Personality

Secretive, little is known about Brigan himself and this is by design. If you ask him a direct question about himself he is liable to re-direct the conversation to a different topic or to give a non-answer in order to say as little about himself as possible. People want to trust him, to think they know him despite how little he shares, so this is often something that people will overlook in order to think better of the High Priest.

This is, perhaps, strange for a Spymaster of all things but Brigan is a trustworthy individual with secrets. This man knows a lot of things about a lot of people, but he makes a point to keep the vast majority of it to himself. Unless something is strictly dangerous to the people around him Brigan pretends he knows nothing about the goings-on of the people of their Kingdom. He understands the safety that comes with having privacy, even if it’s only the perception of having privacy.
