Lair mates speculate on what characteristics bond Casanova with his chosen familiars. There always seems to be some sort of connection with the charms of attraction. Flowers, obviously; the pheromones of the Leafy Moth; the cuddliness of the Mammertee which proves extremely popular with females as well as hatchlings; and the allure of his Serthis, who is similarly magnetising for many of the clan males! Probably best not to think too hard about his Spirit familiar, which most closely resembles a praying mantis... Casanova himself is... well, it has to be said, a bit of a rake. This may be why he has never settled down with a mate, preferring the freedom of a bachelor life. That is, at least, until he met the beautiful but enigmatic imperial, Teorah.
