Biography

Utahime

It's hard to believe someone as bubbly as Opera came from such refined parents. Brimming with magic, Opera is one of the most powerful sorceresses in the clan. She surpasses her mother, Eon, but only in raw power. But Opera isn't interested in honing her magical talent. Truthfully, she would rather be out diving and exploring the vast sea.

As much as she tried to ignore having responsibilities, having blood ties to some of the oldest imperials in the world has had her instinctively longing for power. True, Opera has never spoken with Nighte or Mercor, but their blood, notably Nighte's, is very prominent in her veins. Her mother's blood and magic, swirling in the with essence of potent Imperial lineage, has created an unbridled and untapped source of magic in Opera. It threatened to tear her apart. She managed to conceal her bouts of insanity as the magic consumed her soul and mind. Opera managed to hide it from most of her family and fellow clanmates, but her mother was not so easily fooled.

Concerned for her child's well being, Eon asked the previous songtress, Lagoona, to take Opera on as her heir. Being a songtress required frequent use of one's magic, which would be enough to funnel out the excess magic in Opera's body. Lagoona agreed and began to teach Opera all that she knew.

Opera has calm down considerably since her training began. While not as much as a prankster, she still is quite jovial. She has become a gifted songtress, and dancer, too, all thanks to Lagoona's training. Opera does follow many of the traditions a songtress possesses, however, she puts her own twist on things. Her songs could be considered more "modern" in a sense, though she sticks to traditional dancing. Her sudden desire to improve has helped her fine tune her skills, and she now surpasses Lagoona in ability.

But Opera's journey as a songtress has only just begun.
