Aww, looks like this lil fae joined his father to venture out from his lair (12962, Zikul), and now they're off to see the world! If ever you feel the urge to exalt, he'd really appreciate it if you could just return him home instead, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here. It's not necessary, but they'd be very grateful! 
Oxel was hatched in a Fire lair, but bore the heart of a Nature dragon, and a traveler, from the moment he opened his eyes to this new world. His father, Komorebi, bid his mother farewell when Oxel was just a small child, and together they travelled into the world to see and learn together. He followed Komorebi to a large lightning lair full of more technological wonders than he'd ever dreamed of as possibilities. They fascinated him, but also confused him- no matter how much the engineers tried to show him how circuits and relays and generators and engines worked, he couldn't wrap his mind around it. It seemed even more magic than magic itself. In the next Lightning lair he visited, Oxel grew to maturity and had his first nest with a shy Earthborn fae called Peridot. He made friends with a Black Iron Creeper, perhaps because of his Fire heritage, and was given a Burnished Filigree Banner in token of this. He also developed a striking new pattern on his hide! Next he visited the tangled Woods. Being a dragon who had only previously visited clans with more brighter viewing conditions, the sudden change to a darker location affected his eyes and he was given a pair of goggles so that he could see more properly. Oxel's curiosity continued to grow as he matured, and he felt like a trip to his father's homeland, the Viridian Labyrinth, would provide him with insight into who he was. On his way to his native land, he was attacked in a mire and his belongings were stolen. Wounded and weak, he was taken in by a nearby clan of the Gladeveins and nursed back to health. Oxel soon traveled on to a lesser lair of the Zephyr Steppes and met an older lady who caught his eye. She was the medic of her clan, knowing a little bit of healing magic. He formed a small nest with her. Hatching five eggs, all his children were beautiful to him and the Snapper but he wouldn't see them grow as he began his travels once more. At the next lair he visited, a wandering Clan which was currently sheltering in shadow flight lands, he finally parted ways with his father to strike out on his own. Then, on his own he took a rest in another lair in the shadow lands. Chuck and Chicka took him in as a guest, but soon his wandering habits began to beckon him again. Now that he was alone he found that he was happy and he was truly free to go wherever he wished. Now once again he is on the move. Another on his own trip, he moved to another lightning lair and he fit in quite well. Soon, he decided to leave and explore more. Finally, he visited a tiny lesser lair in the Tangled Woods. The clan leader, Dawn greeted him inside. He got a tiny spot with a long piece of linen black cloth for him to lay on. The clan was low on funds at this time. Nobody really hated him, but the hatchlings were wondering who he was. The Southern Icefield was like no other region that he had been to before. He shivered and wondered at how it was possible to survive in such a cold environment. Welcomed by a local clan, Oxel learnt many things about fossils and artifacts and snow and ice and... he could take it no more. He thanked the clan politely for taking care of him during his stay and for teaching him about so many interesting things and then set off to continue his journey. Once again he found himself drawn to the shadowy realms of the tangled wood. The clan he joined was yet small, still getting on their feet, but they welcomed him into their ranks. After a short period they crossed the border to the water flight. The clan had always embraced the pull of both flights and little changed other than location. He took a mate for a short time, one of the clan's treasured "Black Opals" for which they were named. During his travels, Oxel reached the Starfall Isles, domain of the Arcanist. He met with a welcoming society of dragons in the Star Wood Strand and made himself comfortable: he was introduced to many different dragons and got to meet somebody of his own flight. He soon felt it was the time to leave and continue his journey once more. Back in the Ashfall Waste, where he'd hatched, Oxel found a strange sensation of safety. Of belonging. His mother was no longer there, and as she'd left to join the Gladekeeper rather than the Flamecaller, it wasn't something Fire dragons were eager to talk about. Oxel wondered if one day he might join the Gladekeeper too, as she was the diety of his father's origin, but for the time being he felt strangely embraced by the gleaming lands he'd set ground in. Years later, the entire clan migrated to Earth Flight, and there they stayed. It was a pleasant enough land, but when Oxel heard some Fire enthusiast dragons complain about homelonging, he too felt an urge to take flight. Perhaps he'd go to nature, perhaps elsewhere.
