The Grotto’s so-called queen is not nearly so regal or high of birth as talk of her would have one believe. She’s a tiny fae, more often than not found in worn traveling clothes with ink stained hands. She’s got a grace in her, though, and a loving heart, and it doesn’t hurt that she raised nearly a score of her clanmates herself.

Present: Rhea nests in the deepest branch of the Grotto, (called the Lute’s Neck), where the clan’s personnel records are kept. Shelves of tomes and carefully rolled maps surround a sizeable sap-den the color of peridots. Written records cover beastfolk territories to recent trade to forestry, while the maps have been carefully drawn and illuminated by Rhea’s own hand of various territories and trade routes. Records of clan members themselves can only be found hidden in the smallest regions of the neck where intruders can’t easily find them.

She is just as much a leader of the clan as Aural, but she tends to play a more subtle role. She manages records, finances, and all the dry documentation of keeping a large clan organized. She also helps advise Aural in his decisions, and anyone can go to her for advice or settling disputes. She's the mother of the clan, and a go-to if a dragon finds Aural himself intimidating to call on.

Both den and dragon smell of spilled ink and spices, thanks to Rhea's hobby of making scented inks. Bottles of varying colors and sizes line shelves of their own, and a number of sweet-smelling plants can be found hanging from above. When asked she openly trades her wares in return for other small gifts.

Magic: Her magic is powerful, but more subtle than most. She can’t summon breath attacks, but can locate a dragon she’s met before anywhere in the plateaus and navigate area she’s visited only once before. Even the stronger gusts of the plateaus can’t blow her away, and at times she claims she can hear voices on the winds.

Familiar: (name here) a soft fren that's good for cuddles, but also quite capable as a scout or to summon dragons to Rhea's quarters. It is suspected that most of her pens her made from his quills.

History:
-orphan found and raised by traveling caravan
-group built of acrobats, actors, dancers, minstrels, and the like- put on a good show but earned the general distrust for them in that they stole and conned as much as they earned honestly
-they trained Rhea as a dancer; sometimes she was used to draw attention, but as she got older also used to slip through spectators unseen and cut purses
-content with her life, but never truly satisfied; spends lots of time alone when her adopted family didn't need her
-life turned on its head when crossed paths with with an unusual nomad and witnesses him chasing down a rabbit despite his blindness
-fascinated by him, spends increasingly more time going out to meet Aural instead of performing duties for caravan, eventually deciding that she valued his lifestyle more than her life with them and joins him permanently as his mate
-early days of the Grotto soon follow

-had traumatic experiences with the Scarred Wasteland in her youth and had difficulty interacting with plague dragons in the early days of the Grotto because of them, but the plague dragons within the clan have long since helped her get over her fears.
