He served Shaddowbinder, working diligently for her for almost three years. Then Shadowbinder, pleased with his loyalty, informed him of a wish - his weyr had petitioned for his return. Did he want to return to the lands of Emberglo? To the Moonlit Nyyt Weyr? Franayard thanked the Deity for allowing him to serve her directly and stated yes, he would like to return. First, he assisted with many others who had been serving the Deity, instructing them in the process of returning to their lairs and then, near the end of the fifth wave, he was sent home. Shadowbinder tricked him as well - she changed him to a Spiral with new genes while he was on his magical journey.
When Franayard was in Shadowbinder's army he looked like this and he wore this mask:

Wyldyrn greeted the handsome Spiral who had been a Tundra when he exalted. "I remember your Scent, even though you have changed to the aroma of Spiral. I missed your company."
"And I missed yours. I enjoyed my service but I am eager to experience the joys of Sornieth and the Tangled Wood."
"Come, let me introduce you to my - to our weyr. There are a few you may remember."
Franayard became a level 25 coliseum fighter so that he can provide for the needs of his weyrmates. He adopted one of the Weyr's cats and named her Tinly, for Tiny Lynx. His familiar, Sigil, will allow this.

(Emberglo was given a new familiar on August 15th, 2014 by FisherPriceDog. She named her Jake (note: changed to Sigil) after a cat Emberglo once had. Jake was also a gift - she was a long haired golden eyed beauty. Thank you so much to FisherPriceDog for the generous feline gift.)
