BLACKHEART Alpha Mate of Sky 
Blackheart finds the path in the most twisted of woods. She has acute sixth sense she has grown to trust. She is very strong willed and when a tough decision lies in front of her she will always choose her instinct. Marked by the Shadowbinder, she is a natural leader. Her leadership helped the clan survive the Plague Scourge and rebuild into a greater clan. Her guardian bird is Death Seeker named Nighthawk, and although it stays close to Blackheart, she is often seen staring into space and some speculate that it has some form of precognition. Blackheart is usually found wearing Moonglow thorns wrapped snuggly, yet not painfully, as her adornment. However when she has to fight, she wears armor carved from the trees in the Wispwillow grove, imbued with powerful shadow magic. |

It night was dark, thick clouds hiding the comforting moonlight from sight. The young hatchling search in vain for a firefly to guide the way. She whimpered quietly as shuffled forward. As she took another step, the ground collapsed. Clawing as the falling soil, she screeched, hoping to grab solid ground, but it was futile, and she tumbled, rolling and scraping against the ground, until she finally came to a stop. She didn’t move, trying catching her breath and calm the fear that pounded feverishly. Finally working the courage to move, she pushed one leg forward only to shriek with agony, as all around her pain bit into her. It wrapped all around her, biting with sharp thorns. There was croaking caw from above her. She mewed pitifully to the bird. It cawed again. “What have here?” A silky smooth voice. A dark head loomed in the night, two violet eyes pierced the darkness. “What pitiful dragonling is this?” The hatching whimpered fearfully. “Calm yourself. Any daughter of the shadow is a daughter of mine. ” The Shadowbinder soothed. Dark oil poured over the hatchling, freeing her from the brambles. The Shadowbinder delicately reached down and pulled the dragonling out. “There you go. You're all right, just a few scratches that's all.” She frowned, “And some dirt. Let me get it for you.” The Shadowbinder opened her great maw and gently licked the grim off the dragon. “There you go!” The hatching plopped back on it’s haunches, still trying to register the shaw in front of it. The Shadow binder turned and glared at the Death Seeker, “Do me a favor and watch over this dragon will you?” The bird cawed. The Shadow turned back to the hatchling, “I must go now.” The dark dragon slipped away fading into shadow, “Good luck, my shadowling...”
