Having started life out as a Tundra, Kakortok underwent many changes in his life, all starting the day he met Panik, a brightly colored Guardian who was on a quest to find something to guard with her life, much like any Guardian before her. Helping her out on her quest as he looked for a place to find home, the two remained together after she found what she had been looking for, and with her help, he carved the original caves that made their clan's home. In time, his clan went from a small collection of ice caves to a small, beautiful town that was mostly built out of cabins built with logs and stones.

To keep his followers safe, knowing most of them to be exiles from other clans or on the run, but preferring not to ask too many questions as long as they kept peace in his village, Kakortok searched for greater sources of magic, and eventually learned a spell that allowed him to encompass his entire village in a barrier. The barrier, while incapable of shielding against weather and natural occurrences, wards off evil or any who seek to harm the village, making the town invisible to their eyes. To those who seek only refuge or a place to visit for the night, however, the town is a sight to behold, described by many as 'The snow globe village of the floes'.
