Aella was both a fortunate and unfortunate dragon. While she ended up in a lair that cared for her, her father went to serve the Lightweaver, and her mother ended up in a starved, famished lair. Aella's final gift from her parents was her name, but the meaning was for her to discover. As a result, she left the place of her birth, the Sundial Terrace, in hopes that she could find her destiny. She went and consulted the arcanites and looked in their largest tomes, but to no avail. The runes never matched her name. She continued to search, traveling from Arcane, to Earth, to Water, but the Earth dragons found no history, and the Water dragons merely promised her "soon".
When she had finally given up hope on the truth, she met Hikari, a fellow light dragon in a Wind lair. After hearing her problem, Hikari consulted with the most intelligent scholars in the Wind flight, and Aella's name was finally known.
"Whirlwind."
Finally understanding her role and purpose, Aella moved to a Wind lair, deciding to be an agent of truth to those around her.
