Tales Spun Among the Snow
As Tatusya travelled within the lands, carrying past the northern seas and snowy plains, he made his way to the Snowsquall Tundra, where he was met with members from a clan calling themselves the Clan of the Northern Star. They welcomed him quite warmly, noting his rather quiet demeanor. It was when they had asked why he had come that they realized what a poet he was.
“I hail from these lands.” He spoke. “Time and time again, I travel, and someday I will leave here to find where I must be whenever I must be there.” Noticing the looks of confusion on their faces, he went on.
“All things have life, and all things that have life have a purpose. I too, are the same in that way, as are you all. I will travel to learn until I cannot learn anymore. I will see everything I must see in order to know what I must know. “
It was with this statement that Polaris, leader of this clan had approached him, and greeted him personally. The Guardian seemed rather stoic, confident in her clan, friends and family alike, and offered him a place to stay when she noticed a small hummingbird in his care. She claimed he would be welcome, always have food, and a warm place to stay should he take her offer. Instead, he simply bowed to her and nodded.
“My calling takes me all over the lands of the Icewarden. But if I may, perhaps I will travel and return with stories to share, like the one time I sat upon the edge of the Icefields and watched the Twisting Crescendo of Wind Territory spin endlessly on while many spirals danced upon the gusty tendrils. Some even attempted to reach the top of it, high above the clouds, though none succeeded.” He smiled and gazed at the others before him. “There have also been times when the Volcano of Fire Territory has threatened to erupt, and the dragons that live their sat quite content as if waiting to bathe in the molten earth.”
Acceptance of His Home
Upon leaving the Clan the first time he had met them, Tatsuya carried on in his ventures until something had led him back to the Clan of the Northern Star. Here, this time, he accepted Polaris’ offer, and took up residence. Even so, he does not nest near the others, but is also not so far away that he is forgotten.
He can often be found near the nesting grounds, tending to the hatchling and entertaining them with stories so their parents may hunt or train, or do whatever they wish to do. The small Frostbite Hummingbird under his care can often be seen roosting in his antlers and can be heard singing a rather pleasant tune.
Since his arrival in the Clan, he has become quite comfortable around others, as he was shy beforehand. He deeply treasures his friendships, and would not risk anything to break the trust he has built. More sensitive than your average Imperial, he also has a knack for adorable things, but don’t let anyone know!! It’s a secret!
