Lemongrass is a quiet dragon, preferring others to make big decisions. A follower, not a leader, Lemongrass is easygoing, perhaps a little too much so. Sometimes, since he is willing to go with basically anything, dragons believe him to be one of no opinion. This cannot be more far from the truth. Deep inside, Lemongrass is passionate about the things he believes to be right, about justice and free will. |

But he keeps these thoughts inside, as he knows he will only get scoffed at if they were to escape. Lemongrass tried to meet Blue’s unwavering gaze. Eventually, he drew his eyes away, looking at the ground. He’d been so stupid. The imperial cursed at himself under a breath. He shouldn’t’ve told the experienced fighter what he had been pondering for weeks now. The veteran fighter had an eyebrow raised, eyes filled with doubt and maybe a hint of pity. It was true; Lemongrass didn’t know how to fight. Didn’t want to learn how to fight. His talons were not the sharp daggers of the others, were not perpetually stained with crimson. He was, perhaps, the only imperial in the clan that wasn’t a warrior. That was probably the reason most dragons didn’t take him seriously. It didn’t matter that he was the fastest flyer, that he brought back twice as much prey as everyone else during hunting excursions. Only one blatant fact shone in the eyes of every other dragon. Lemongrass couldn’t fight. Sighing, he shook his head, walking away. |
The soft ground belched beneath his feet, like an earthen sculpture cooking in a furnace. Sitting down, Lemongrass looked over the horizon, the glowing lava marring the dark smoothness of the obsidian coastline. Useless. No one would ever take you seriously. No one would ever want to talk to- “Hey.” Lemongrass jerked his head up in surprise. A pair of cyan eyes, warm and slightly concerned, were staring at him. Glacier sat down beside him, shoulders shrugging sheepishly. “I’m sorry if you want time alone. I just saw you sitting here and…” “It’s alright, it’s not as if I wanted to stay lonely over here, is it?” Lemongrass chuckled, making a half-hearted attempt at a joke. Glacier smiled. “I heard that you’re faster than anyone in the clan at flying,” Glacier smirked. “I’d like to see you beat me!” Lemongrass’s lip curled mischeviously. “I’d like to see you try!” |
