Biography
Zinovia--> Lorelei --> Larisa --> Mirtala --> Albite --> Me
Aamon & Deyanira --> Nexialist --> Larisa --> Mirtala --> Albite --> Me
Naomi --> Willow --> Verisai --> Marun --> Mirtala --> Albite --> Me
Ankh & Scarab --> Anubis --> Miasma --> Feldspar --> Albite --> Me
Gen 7 Naomi // Gen 6 Zinovia // Gen 6 False Progens // Gen 6 Barghest
Kakt is hardly a mother. Albite is, at his least, a teacher, a warrior. Vesna wishes she were not born of the cursed blood; then she might be able to make him proud.
Cold child, younger sister, constricted and choked by the mere thought of making herself small, of fitting, of conforming, and yet possessed by the unshakable desire to fit, to belong. Witness to Northsol's fury, to many rages, child of hurt and pain who curls up with her heart bitten tight between her teeth. From her jaws, it was snatched, as a slab of meat from a hound.
"You will transform. Tonight," her father had advised, all cold voice and sharp eyes, calculating, looking upon each of his children with judgement behind his sun-blessed stare, so bright, nothing like her own. "You will become something I cannot cut out from within you. Cower in those tunnels, this night, and eat your shame. Cannibalize yourselves if you must. Come crawling out, and I will make you know to overcome our wretched blood."
She is not sure entirely what happened, in those passageways. Their brother became separated from them, she watched his skull split asunder, growing a maw of thunder and claws of wild forest, and Vesna had left, angry and violent-thinking. To confront what grew within her chest, to become greater, to become hunter, no longer haunted--she would tear it out from her bones and eat it whole. Funny, then, that somebody else should carve her sternum instead.
She does not remember it. She knows waking with a hole in her ribs, knows pain where nothing should be, knows the inextricable feeling of tether to something faraway and the unerring, uneasy feeling that your heart is beating in somebody else's chest. Vesna does not know what to do. She does not know how to do revenge upon her own autopsy.
