Split between three regions, that explained Ocean’s life pretty well. She was born in the Windswept Plateau, was named after the Sea of a Thousand Currents, a sentimental place to her parents, and she was also born on the day that started one year’s Crystalline Gala celebration. Some thought she should be more dedicated to the Icewarden because of that.
Ocean was sick of it. Did it really matter what colors her eyes were, what day she was born on, or what she was named after? Why did other dragons assume things about her because of that? “Wind dragons are supposed to be optimistic,” one dragon told her. “Why don’t you like swimming if your name is Ocean?” A hatchling once asked. It did not matter. And she would not be defined because of other’s assumptions. But she wants something to live for. So, almost like a guardian, she departed to search to find… something. The only thing she brought with her is a picture of the only dragon she could be herself around, the only one who let her be herself. He was gone now. So why stay? (note- hatchling caretaker) |

The Gifted Chimes originated when the Windsinger received a gift from the Flamecaller: a stone that glittered in every color of the rainbow. The stone was so beautiful, the Windsinger thought it might be a shame for it to simply sit and look pretty, so he turned it into a dragon—many dragons, because just one could not express the amount of beauty in the original stone. While these dragons had pale colors throughout most of their bodies, their wings glittered like crystals in the sunlight.
These dragons moved to populate the Reedcleft Ascent and the Twisted Crescendo, with each population developing slightly different color variations. Paler variations seem to prefer the swirling Twisted Crescendo, where all that can be seen of them as they fly is a flash of sparkling feather, while the others seem to appreciate the calmer beaches near the Reedcleft Ascent.
These dragons are especially fond of combing the beaches for glimmering gems or pieces of colored gems. Each dragon has its own collection, and they hang them up in their lairs like wind chimes. The sound from each of these chimes is unique, and each dragon might prefer to pick up different colors as well, making them beautiful works of art. A large number of these chimes in the same area will compose a unique song every time a wind blows.
