[img]410x10[/img] The world of magic and its components was not a world Pharia was unfamiliar with. Her mother’s arrival within the clan presented Pharia with a newfound enjoyment of learning any and all forms of magical reproduction. She would often fiddle with alchemical ingredients, plodding about the gardens and watching the trades with a childlike fascination. Upon learning of a teachings about the clan, she was sure that it would be her grand undertaking. At first, Anthea rejected such a, what she deemed, ‘ridiculous’ idea. Pharia’s sulk lasted for days, stung by the denial of her ultimate goal. She studied on her own, pages after pages flipped through and studied mercilessly. It ended up being Kori’s suggestion to allow Pharia to be taught the same as her. Pharia’s outright dedication to the arcane arts bled into every aspect of her life. She repeated spells and incantations, practised alchemy and involved herself into the intricacies of each and every ingredient in the trade stock, their uses and rarity. Even Anthea found herself impressed by such diligence. She caught the attention of Codie shortly after, watching her scour the stock and scribbling down on half spilled ink-stained fingertips, eyes narrowed with focus. He felt himself powerless to her passionate heart, and Pharia found herself a love beyond magic. Pharia took strange comfort in both Anthea and Amou. How they wielded magic with such an elegance, such refined and graceful movements, like water, trickling and weighted with purpose. She sat with Kori and took in what she could. But Pharia enjoyed Kori’s youth, her determination. Pharia was pleased to see how those who could yield magic used it in such different ways. Though she was determined to work the hardest. |
