Self-hatched NYE binary ID.
Mate plans: banana/fire/radio
Documenting my attempts to obtain a mate for my binary below. What started as 'I want a SID banana/fire/radioactive boy' soon turned into 'I just want a boy'. RNG's been merciless.
I don't usually document my breeding projects, but I wanted to do it this time just to show hard ID sniping can be. It's really all luck and persistence, especially if you're long-shotting, and especially if you really want a dragon of one gender. :)

- #100292001 - Is actually a palindrome, from a twegg nest. Slight problem: inverted primary and secondary colours. Bigger problem: girl. I'm not happy about this, but little do I know... it's just the beginning of #bossgate. #GIRLbossgate, that is.
- #100494001 - Got the palindrome off a twegg nest. Had more or less convinced myself to be okay with a green secondary frok this pair, but... it's another boss. A g i r l b o s s. Friendship ended with green secondary, back we go to orange.
- #100767007 - Missed the palindrome (twegg nest) . Is a boy this time, but is unusable for breeding since the secondary isn't fire or close to that. It's not even green.
- #100818008 - Missed the palindrome (twegg nest). Is the wrong colours (again). Is also a girl (again). This one was from a stud breeding, too! It's the return of (girl) #bossgate.
- #100838002 - Pali miss (twegg nest). Is actually colours I'd accept as 'close enough', but is... a proud member of #bossgate.
- #100858003 - Missed the pali, again. Five eggs, for once.
Wrong colours, of course. And guess what gender she is? BOSSGENDER.
- #100868001 - A hit, and a boy, off a thregg nest. Not the exact colours just yet, but a hit and a boyo is a wonderful thing. <3
- #100939006 - Back to misses and females. The worst part is - this one is a clone of the stud boy! Her colours are very nearly perfect. Her genes are perfect. But... a girl : )
#101181101 - we are officially back in girlboss town, aren't we. The most perfect colours tho...

In addition to all this, two more pairs wegged me in the same round of nests - #100822286 and #100822283.
Ironically enough, both are boys. Because of course they are.
Dragons that are actually banana/fire/radioactive after this whole mess, never mind being female or pali:

Spooner, circa January 2025, genuinely thinking she's gonna get a SID banana/fire/radioactive boy out of long-ranged YOLO pairs.
