Seiiki's Clan

The seat of Clan Asteria is located on the cliffside steps of the Blacksand Annex, its buildings and built into the obsidian rock face. Caves and tunnels snake their way deep into the base of cliffs, leading to the mineral rich mines belonging to the clan. On the black sandy beach below, a great black and gold lacquered gate signals the entrance to the clan’s village, leading to stairways that wind their way upwards through the small city.

Along the steps are the cliffside shops of jewelers, smiths, and gilders selling precious wares made from the gems and minerals mined from within the cliffs. Steam and smoke waft up into the salty seaside air from the vents of the forges bath houses along the steps, each building’s black lacquer facade more illustrious than the last.

Further upwards lies the clan’s temple to the Flamecaller, carved entirely out of obsidian, each figure and statue gilded and set with tourmaline and garnet. A great fire burns within the temple, where the local villager’s come to burn incense and offerings to their god.

At the top of the steps lies the grandiose gate entrance to the obsidian halls inside the cliff. Fires and lanterns illuminate the darkness, its inky blackness periodically interrupted by sunlight filtered through colored glass set high into the cavern’s walls. Here in the gilded halls of Asteria's hold reside the clan’s highest authorities and their industrious leader, Garnet, who oversees the prosperity of her clan and city.
