Loyalty and Diligence are valued above all, and the Phoenix is the city's emblem of power. Despite its size, Darten is home to many skilled residents. They maintain their air of secrecy while being renowned for their hospitality to strangers. Because they tend to be more quiet and prefer to socialize within their own group, the dragons that live in this area are sometimes perceived by outsiders as strange. Although the Darten dragons are renowned for being expert fighters and effective gatherers, others frequently dislike them for being so secretive and isolated. Since Darten is rumored to be hiding a strong magic, many are curious to confirm the rumors. However, the dragons who live there forbid outsiders from entering with such ease, which only serves to fuel mistrust toward them. Suspicions that something is off about that metropolis are only heightened by their strong affinity with Corvids which superstition says to be spirit walkers and prophecy bringers in the dragon realm.

Darten dragons view familiars as great companions and believe they come to them for a purpose—a former dragon they once knew or an ancestor who reincarnated to lead them in the right path in life- which is the reason why every Darten dragon keeps familiars by their side. They cherish each and every one of their familiars and wish to collect them all.
