My favorite bands are linkin park, bullet for my valentine, green day and set it off. I tend to listen to faster paced songs with more guitar riffs and screaming as im very into those! Also melodic vocals are super nice in rock music, i like that a lot

oh my goodness gracious. oh my days. music is everything to me

my top fav artists are what i call the "holy trinity" and also Fall Out Boy (honorable mention of the trinity, and in fact what I would argue is the most listened out of all three). Those being
 • Jhariah
 • Glass Beach
 • Pinkshift

and uh
 • Fall Out Boy (previously mentioned)

if everyone doesn't mind i'll just yap a bit about them!!

First off, Jhariah is snazzy, snappy, and if you wanna listen to stunning vocals with cool guitars and trumpets, Jhariah is for you! Jhariah's music, depending on the era/song, very much feel like the 'misunderstood villian', with some honorable mentions being "Whose Eye is it Anyway???" and "Flight of the Crows". Those two are from their album A BEGINNER'S GUIDE TO FAKING YOUR DEATH. He's currently working on a new album and the songs are STUNNING!
Some of my favorite songs have to be Collarbone, RISK, RISK, RISK!, BAD LUCK!, and Whose Eye is it Anyway???. It's really hard to pick favorites enitely with Jhariah's music because I promise you, like, bet ALL of my dragons on it, that guy doesn't have a SINGLE bad song in his entire discography. Slash SERIOUS.

Next up, we have Glass Beach!! Glass Beach, though a smaller band, I've been with since their first album (or, first album since they've gone under the name 'Glass Beach', Classic J used to go under 'casio dad' iirc). Their newest album, Plastic Death, has a very prog-rock type beat to it. If you've ever heard of Genesis, the band that Phil Collins used to be in, it's almost vaguely similar to a lot of those songs. For beginners or people who want to look into the band, I would look into The First Glass Beach Album, which it is as the title says. Cold Weather, Glass Beach, Yoshi's Island, and Bedroom Community have to be my favs from that album. But for Plastic Death, coelacanth is easily one of my favorites of all time from this album. It was the most gorgeous, eye-opening opener to an album I think I've ever heard. It almost made me cry, which doesn't happen a lot with songs, actually. Oh! Quick mention, cool trivia fact, but the band is very very openly queer, and classic j (i found this out when I was listening to Plastic Death with my girlfriend) is transfem and goes by they/she !! Ain't that neat?

Almost lastly, Pinkshift. Pinkshift is like, if you put paramore on steroids. It's raw, it's out there, it's punk rock! I can easily say I was an extremely early fan as I found them back in 2019 (or around that time) when the band started popping up on Spotify. I remember looping the same 4 songs they had released for years until they came up until around 2022 when they released their album, Love Me Forever. Burn the Witch and Dreamer have to be my absolute favs from that album, hands down. However, if I were to pick from their singles of my favs would be Rainwalk and In a Breath.

The funniest thing about all three of them is that at one point they've all collabed with each other in some way (for the most part... I'm waiting for the Glass Beach x Pinkshift crossover... one day...), Jhariah and Pinkshift have consistently gone on tour together and even released a song called EAT YOUR FRIENDS. Awesome addition to the playlist, might I add. Both Jhariah and Pinkshift have done covers for Glass Beach for a cover/collab album (I am unsure of the terminology?) and they're both FIRE. If you do wanna listen to them I'd look up "jhariah dies and goes to hell part 1" for Jhariah's cover of classic j dies and goes to hell part 1, and I'd look up Pinkshift's cover of Bedroom Community called Bathroom Community. They both take their own spin on it for the most part, but Pinkshift added more of a personal touch to Bedroom Community (which is what got me interested in their music, actually).

Finally last, Fall Out Boy. A compleeeetely underground band that nobody has ever heard of! Very underrated. Anyways, jokes aside, one of their best albums is Infinity on High in my opinion, and most of my favorite songs are just straight up from that album! If you're a fan of Ace Attorney, and especially AA4, if you hadn't already, I would consider looking into Fall Out Boy and listening to Infinity On High with the mindset of "this is the Gavinners." Aside from that, however, some of my favorite songs from IOH (which, by the way, is an abbreviation for Infinity on High. I... did not realize this until later.) are Thnks fr the mrmrs, Golden, I'm Like a Lawyer (Me & You), I've Got All This Ringing In My Ears And None On My Fingers (yes, that is the actual title. Gotta love early 2000s FOB titles /gen), and GINASFS. Most people end up knowing FOB for their weird pop era (that, in my honest opinion, is the most hair-ripping era of them all, but no hate to people who enjoy it!), but some of their new stuff feels almost reminiscent of their pre-hiatus era! Love on the Other Side is a good example of this, it really feels like IOH or Folie à Deux. I haven't listened to the full album that Love from the Other Side comes from, but I do plan to.

Some honorable mentions that I'd love to talk about, but I don't wanna put the spotlight on me too much are:
 • Billy Cobb
Probably known as the guy who made the Gary Come Home punk cover, but he does a lot of punk/punk rock covers of things that are honestly sometimes better than the original in my opinion. He also has really awesome songs he's made I'd check out.
 • Bear Ghost
Omigod omigod you guys /ref I've only found Bear Ghost for a couple months now, but they have such interesting and creative music. I'd absolutely give a listen because it is some of the most fun music I've heard in a bit! Jiminy is their latest album and it's worth listening to :]
 • Genesis, Phil Collins, or even Peter Gabriel
I'm gonna be honest here, it was a tough match between Phil Collins and whoever mentioned above or The Happy Fits (which you should totally check out). All three were big names in the prog rock scene back in the 70s iirc, and if you're into that kind of stuff I would absolutely take a listen! One of my favorite songs from Genesis has to be Home By The Sea

if you took the time to read this all thank you :] i hope you found some of it interesting or like intrigued enough to go look into it !!

Nu Metal has always been a comfort genre for me!! That's where some of my favorite bands are from, Deftones and Slipknot. It's such a self indulgent genre for me, y'know?

My music taste is very broad - I'll listen to anything if I enjoy it. However, my favourite songs mainly consist of alternative pop, indie rock, happy hardcore, theatre and hyperpop. Folktronica is nice too

I've recently been getting into more rock-like songs however!!

(i thought i replied to this already... turns out that was another thread [emoji=skull size=1]) honestly i will listen to anything if it sounds good but i especially love alternative/indie/pop rock and indie folk. i also listen to dnb + subgenres and breakcore but not as much as i did before. oh also some subgenres of pop are cool too (very rarely tho i'm super picky about it) ...i actually dont know what im talking about rn lmaoo to be honest im not the most cultured music-wise, but i'm trying to expand my playlist since late december (cough cough aka that one band with colored tie men has a violent grip on me and im on a hunt to find similar songs just so i wont spontaneously combust about the fact they only have 2 albums cough cough) i think im doing a good job. i guess. i still have a lot of albums to check out sob
