About Me

Hello and welcome to to the lair of Dominus. The name's Domni but you're free to call me Dom. I'm a cat rescue and a shelter volunteer who spends their extra time drawing the day away as a side hobby. Despite my persistent schedule, I come on here often to check up on my dragons. I mostly lurk within the shadows and keep to myself. Do not let that stop you from conversing though. I enjoy talking to newcomers.

Please note that I have a handful of mental disorders that prevent me from communicating properly. So my social battery isn't always up high. Please be patient if you are waiting for a response from me.

Dominus

A weary traveler finds themselves approaching a murky forest with the shadowy tone of mulberry. Consumed by wanderlust, they'd carelessly drift through exquisitely done cobwebs and emerge into the eerie woodland. No turning back. Descending in darkness, a thick fog that smelled of woodsmoke overshadowed their weak vision and burned into their sensitive eyes. Delving into the unknown for quite some time, the harsh crunch of dead leaves suddenly pierced through their ears. Troubled with a newfound fear, apprehension pulsed throughout their veins. Without second thought, they'd frantically race from the possible threat. Along the forest they'd run. Feet pounding one after the other against the hideously rich soils of the Earth beneath. Eventually, they'd clumsily skid straight into muddied dirt as the enormous silhouette of a monstrous beast blocked their path. Accepting their potential fate, they'd defenselessly shield themselves. Completely vulnerable to the mythical creature.
"... Well that's no way to greet an entity of the essence. I'm offended."
Chest heaving and body trembling, they'd hesitantly unfold their guarded arms to reveal their face. A large Skydancer of golden bangles and silver rings loomed over the skittish adventurer. Its ghost-like pattern amongst lime green eyes startled them. Yet buried far below, an aura of relief washed over. The dragon held out its clawed hand, bundles of jewelry clanking together as it outstretched its arm.
"You don't seem like you're from here, young traveler."
With an airy chuckle, they'd reached out cautiously. Wrapping their palm around coarse fur and bulky fingers, the dragon yanked them upright. Stumbling forward, they'd regain their balance as the dragon forcibly shook their dainty hand. It tipped its tattered hat as a salutation.
"I am The Croupier. I guide those who lose sight of their desires." She'd let go, allowing the traveler to adjust their smudged apparel. "Tell me, traveler. Why are you here? What do you wish for most?"
Seeming as though the heedless traveler had been freed from her clasp, they'd shrug nonchalantly as they turned on their heel and marched onward. Her face contorted with a sarcastic scoff at the rude gesture.
"Well I know all of your desires. You crave adventure, don't you?"
Their eyes widened as they stopped dead in their tracks, head thrown over their shoulder to face her. With a devilish grin, she stepped forward.
"I sense that you're quite ignorant. Starry-eyed. Naïve even. You wish to escape the troubles of life and to start anew. Isn't that what you want?"
Observing The Croupier, they'd warily walk towards her with skittery steps. Intrigued by her abilities, they'd follow in her footsteps as she began to gallop into the mysterious fog. As they'd desperately reach out over the assumption of trickery, the mist cleared and revealed an unfamiliar path.
"I will guide you towards your destiny then." Lifting her conjurer's hat, her eyes glazed over with a luminous shine as green as cavern gems. "Please. Call me Tanwen. I welcome you to Dominus."
