[Glossary]

Head Matriarch
Highest Clan rank. Has final say on all Clan activities and hierarchical placement.

Sub Patriarch
Subject only to the Head Matriarch. Often the primary caregiver of hatchlings. Can make minor decisions on the Matriarch's behalf, but only in her absence.

Speaker
One who possesses abnormal spiritual qualities. Acts as a dream interpreter and often undergoes self-hallucination for the purpose of predicting Clan events, be they good or of ill. May take an apprentice of their choosing.

Healer
The physician of the clan. Well-versed and trained in the art of medicine and preventive care. May take an apprentice of their choosing.

Hunter
Primary breadwinners of the Clan, specializing in procuring vittles and occasional treasure on day-long group excursions within the territory. This role is often given to younger Clan members eager to prove their worth. Every Hunter has their own preferred method of catching prey, be it warm-blooded, treasure, or plant-based.

Omega
Cultural keepers, artists, and planners of the Clan (depending on the individual's talents and preferences). These dragons often keep to the common areas of the territory and collaborate on potential recreational events for the Clan's social benefit. These potential plans are then presented to the Head Matriarch for her final approval.

Page
'Gophers' of the Clan, usually busy 24/7 with running errands for Omegas and caring for Elders.

Elders
A role reserved to older exemplary clan members too valuable to be exalted for their knowledge and experience.

Unnamed
Hatchlings subject to exaltation unless they succeed in proving their worthiness to the current Head Matriarch.
