Here on the stretch of coastline 'tween the Tangled Wood and the Sea, at the edge of the Foxfire Bramble, it's a no-dragon's land. It's an unpleasant place to most, but there's some of us what call it home. You want murky water, thorny weeds, and nasty critters? We've got it all! See, them that like to live in the bogs and brambles are a different breed. They keep to themselves, mostly, and don't like to be bothered with no Gods nor beasts, nor even other dragons. Even regular Shadowfolk look at us funny when they see us comin' out of the swamps, but we only leave to trade supplies or join up with the Trickmurk Circus, ‘least those of us that feel like it.

It ain’t just the brambles that drive folk away, if I’m bein’ honest. If it weren’t for our frog-witch, this’d all be just another Shadowbinder province. What? You ain’t met Lea? Better go introduce yourself before you go any farther. And be polite, you don’t want to get on old lady Lea’s bad side. Boy, could I tell you stories about her... You got some time, stranger?
