fr__water_by_baelfin-d8uyn80.png Our Story fr__water_by_baelfin-d8uyn80.png

Long ago, in the Starfall Isles, the group of dragons you see now were called the Fallen Stars. When a magical disaster struck, killing our corrupt king and our home, our Queen Ophelia led us into our watery home. We no longer were the Clan of the Fallen Stars, for we were in the realm of rain.

I am Leo, the king of this reformed clan. If you look around, you will see a collection of rocky structures sticking out of the water. There are spines, bowls-like rocks, arches, and platforms that break the surface. Underwater, there are caves, reefs and flats. Each of these provide a home for the ranks of the clan. For example, all of the warriors live in that huge arch to your left.

Ranks? Oh yes, our system is somewhat complicated to explain to outsiders. All dragons start off as hatchlings until they are five, which prompts them to become a trainee. A trainee goes to classes in the Academy, and is taught about all possible jobs they may take on later in life. Once they are fifteen, they move to and live in the Training Spine and choose a rank and begin specialized training as an apprentice until they are 20. (Think of trainees as school children, and apprentices as college kids). There are ranks, or jobs that each dragon will grow up to be. Some ranks are special, where only one or two dragons fill that position. They are the following: hunters, warriors, elementals, (magic arcane dragons) merchants, gatherers, swimmers, and educators (who teach trainees). The one/two dragon ranks are the following: healer, seer, (prophet) keeper, (organizer of the clan's hoard) tailor, blacksmith, messenger, scheduler (dragon who writes every dragon's job for that day) and the familiar caretaker.

Government, you ask? A monarchy? No, not entirely. I am Brook, Leo's mate and Queen of the Fallen Rain. Leo and I are the main governing forces, alongside the Head of each main rank. The Head trains apprentices, and participates in government as well For example, Jackson is the Head Swimmer, so he helps out with clan decisions and trains apprentices. Also, the next leading pair is chosen by us, and is not automatically out children.

Religion? I know a lot about that topic. I am Elijah, the clan's Seer. I see prophecies and receive dreams from the Heavens, our ancestors. The moral dragons who died go up into a paradise, and are able to help communicate and guide the living. Not every dragon believes in this however, which is just fine too.

Royal Spine- The Royals live in the tallest spine, which reaches high above the water. It is somewhat wide, and extends deep into the water. There are entrances on both the top and bottom.
Locations; Clan hoard (where Keeper lives), royalty housing and facilities

Main Clearing- A grassy, flat clearing that sits on the water in front of the Royal spine. It serves as a gathering and meeting place for the dragons of the clan.
Locations: Merchant posts, schedule

Townsplace- Behind the Main Clearing, (attached by a bridge) sits an island filled with houses and stores. The island is a woodland, with forest. Families and couples of different ranks usually house here.
Locations: Dragon housing, stores, forest

Academy- Connected to the townplace by a bridge, the Academy is a gigantic sculpted rock that sits on top of the water. Trainees attend classes inside.
Locations: Trainee classes, educator living

Training Spine- A short spine that houses apprentices. Warriors are put on duty to make sure everything runs smoothly.
Locations: Apprentice living (apprentices attend classes in their rank's location)

Seer’s Island- A small, floating island with a waterfall and willow trees, truly a paradise for the seer to live.
Locations: Seer and apprentice dens
