Clan lore by Disbounded.

In the month where full moons send shivers down dragonkind spines, the Gods and Godesses saw fit to bestow upon the land a new clutch of Dragons. The Tidelord made each with much care. A female he formed from the colors of rich blood and the white crest of ocean waves. He fashioned for her a mate, a Tundra male of the darkest night.

They were christened Xandra and Dynas, and he lowered their new forms into his realm, so that they may live.
Xandra and Dynas found themselves at the Windswept Plateau, looking out into the reaching expanse of sea that was to be their new home. The ocean was alive and churning, harsh waves slapping and swirling against all corners of the Tidelord’s domain.

Xandra was strong willed and fierce, and she immediately took charge. She decided that before they could find a home, they needed to find a source of food so that they could maintain their strength. They stumbled through Wind Flight territory, the free spirited members paying them no mind. They reached the edge of the Zephyr Steppes, where the dive into the ocean was least high, and together they entered the Tidelord’s home.

They swam their way around the fishline reef, collecting Blue Swimmer Crab and Crystal Jellyfish to satisfy their hunger. The shifting sapphire expanse enveloped them, two mere droplets in the belly of the sea.

Suddenly the waves began to churn, thunder and lightning crashed from the sky, and the young Dragons were plunges beneath the waves. Xandra fought to the surface, barely grabbing a mouthful of air before being dragged back down. The sea was dark, but in a flash of lightning she saw Dynas floating, barely conscious. She swam to him, bringing them both out of the water, her wing beating furiously. But his dark fur was soaked with water, and he was too heavy. The tall waves licked at her claws as she struggled to the shoreline.

Suddenly a Dragon appeared beside her, grasping at her mate and taking the burden from Xandra. The shimmering Skydancer led her to shore, where she laid Dynas gently onto the sand. Xandra collapsed beside him and slept as the stranger watched over them.

In the morning both Dynas and Xandra had recovered. The Skydancer was named Elara, and she too was a child of the Water, though only a descendant of the Tidelord. She knew the water well, well enough to know that the Tidelord was prone to bouts of anger and passion.

Elara explained that she was a wanderer, a seer of the Ocean of a Thousand Currents, and that she had no clan of her own. She asked the two if they would like to join her, and start a clan together all their own. Xandra was hesitant at first, but Dynas soon had her convinced, and they agreed.

Overjoyed, Elara brought the two gifts, for Dynas, a copper necklace she had been given as a hatchling, and to Xandra, a fierce young Warcat named Sabre. The two were distrusting of one another at first, but after many battles of one always winning after the other, the called a draw, and Sabre was never seen far from Xandra’s side.

Elara brought the weary young Dragons to the heart of the Tsunami Flats, where Dynas carefully built their first nest. Xandra, Dynas, and Elara made their home against the breaking waves, and began their new lives.


Leaders
Xandra & Dynas - The first generation- the founders of the clan. Together they lead the clan into the various endeavors they participate in, whether it be battle or assisting other clans of the Flight. Ironically, the personalities of these two clash - leading to some... interesting leadership moments between them.

Scholars
Ectomancer - A dabbler in the elemental magics that are intertwined with the world around him.

Elara - Considered a 'scholar' among her clan, Elara spends a substantial amount of her time listening to the prophecys the Tidelord foretells. When she's not doing that, she's either spending time with Ectomancer or caring for the clan hatchlings.

Workers
Nax - The main cook of the clan and also one of the largest dragons in general so far. He cooks fairly large portions, much to the dismay of the scavengers.

Chaos - Due to her heritage as a Ridgeback, Chaos is easily one of the first go-to dragons whenever more space in the lair needs to be made. She works quickly, burrowing into the moist earth and easily clearing chunks of space within a few hours. The only problem is something has to be done with the mess she creates...
