The Zaahir Clan

A clan protected by golden gates and golden guards. Within is a farming community, rich with fertile soil and gold to mine. Bountiful harvests of crops and plump livestock sustain the clan, allowing it to birth dragons of nobility and zealous valor. Loyalty and courage are valued behind the gates of this clan. And it's inhabitants will defend it down to the last soul.

Zaahir began as a clan of misfits and nobodies, a mashup of dragons with no clear direction nor purpose. Settled under the dark shadow of the Shadowbinder they merely existed, only doing what was needed to get by. That was all they ever needed, ever wanted. They lived peacefully, without knowing the rewards of hardwork and dedication. Scraping out a home unknowingly among the grounds the Beastclans called sacred. They had few altercations with them but nothing of major alarm until the massacre.

They descended into their tunnels, collapsed them, trapped them. Those who could escape had no choice but to flee while their brethren were slaughtered, their home pillaged. Their spirit and pride were shattered as they began their march, turned to beggars as they prowled the Mires, claws out for scraps. Eventually their faces were easily recognized, and scorned. Where was their pride? Where was their dedication to restarting their lives? Beggars were not amusing to trick and deceive either so the few stragglers set off for lands outside the Shadowbinder's darkness.

They found it in the dust and rocks. Both their homestead and their identities. They rediscovered their determination when they settled upon the desolate terrain and began to dig out homes. They located their innovation when carving out aqueducts. Their sense of accomplishment was reinvigorated with the fertile soils that burst forth from the emptiness. Their independance was won with the crops yielded, the animals raised and the golden ore found. And their strength finally returned once they could proudly state they had no need for handouts. They could ensure proper nutrition, care and a place to call home.

And with their identities and strength they began to grow, becoming dragons worth respect. Great stone walls and a golden gate erected around their community, and with it guards of gold and crimson. Dragons born of valor and zeal, dragons that would ensure that their homes would never be taken again.

Now they stand together, no longer a mixture of misfits.. But a unified force under the same banner.

The clan specializes in the following trades and services:
-Agriculture of grains and livestock
-Armour and weapon crafting and manufacture
-Guards for rent for merchants
-Jewelry and precious ores, particularly gold ores
