Lord of the Pillow Fort
Clan Info
They/Them pronouns | FR time + 9
In a far corner of the Crystalspine Reaches lies the lair of clan Zephyrim. This clan has been loyal to the Arcanist since it was founded by Awyr and Daear, but dragons of all eleven Flights are welcome to join. The clan promotes the pursuit of many trades, knowledge and skills. As such, the clan boasts a growing number of craftsmen, scholars and warriors.
While the clan tends to keep to itself most of the time, visitors are always welcome and offers of alliances are gratefully accepted. The Zephyrim always stand ready to help those in need.
***
As the clan grew, five distinct circles developed, each specialising in a certain aspect that would help the clan develop even more. It allowed for a more organised, hierarchical structure within the clan and made sharing knowledge easier between the clanmembers.
Of course, being member of one circle does not exclude one from another, but is mostly just an simple way to show a member’s position and tasks within the clan and who they need to report to.
Every circle reports to their respective 1st rank leader, who has the authority to give orders, hand out task and make critical or final decisions. The circle leaders themselves report to the clanleaders, Awyr and Daear.
The clan has taken to calling these six leaders the Council.
The five circles (and their respective leaders):
- Circle of Strength(Awyr & Daear): the circle that houses the officers, warriors and strategists. This circle takes care of the lair’s defences, battle plans, recruitment and training of aspiring warriors. Members of this circle can often be found in the clan’s war room, the barracks or the training areas.
- Circle of Magic(Bryna): Everything related to magic, either active or passive use, is the responsibility of this circle. Most members are mages, but it is certainly not a requirement. Members occupy the clan’s laboratories, training fields and areas designated for experiments.
- Circle of Knowledge(Diwedydd): Any knowledge and information that is not covered within the circle of Magic ends up here. Histories, languages, artifacts…This circle always has a member that knows something about these subjects. The circle also makes sure that any information is well documented, ordered and shelved properly in the clan’s extensive library.
- Circle of Arts(Gwanwyn): Every clan needs artisans and craftsmen, which is exactly what the Circle of Arts is for. Need something special made? The circle is here to make it. Weapons, clothes, jewelry, etc, the circle can provide. Possibly the largest circle of the five.
- Circle of Wealth(Melyn): The smallest of the five circles, with only three members, but no less important. The name of the circle speaks for itself really. Anything related to treasure and trade goes through here.
While the clan tends to keep to itself most of the time, visitors are always welcome and offers of alliances are gratefully accepted. The Zephyrim always stand ready to help those in need.
