Spare the songbirds, winged joy wardens
Clan Info
The Zephyr Steppes fall away behind you, giving way to the jutting cliffs of the Reedcleft Ascent. Gentle breezes murmur through the twisting bamboo thickets, carrying the roar of the water to your ears from far down in the chasms below. Distantly, you hear the gentle song of wind chimes calling you forth.

The merry chimesong leads you up the dizzying Ascent, each pawstep carrying you closer to the glittering stars above - it feels as if you ascend far enough, the night sky would fall across your shoulders like a cloak of the softest velvet. The salt-musk scent of the sea mingles with the brisk smell of fresh water from the Tidelord's domain as the waters churn together in the canyons far below you. Your journey upwards halts before a gaping cleft in the region's pillarlike cliffs. Stone steps have been cut into the sides of the cliff face here, and the surfaces of each step have been worn smooth by both the passage of time and the passing of many a claw. The yawning gap is so deep that you can't clearly see the bottom of the steps, but you can hear the soft jingle of the chimes whose song you've been following in the depths below.

The stone staircase takes you deep into the heart of the cliffs as the sky falls away above you. The chimes you had heard before are joined by others now, and a pleasant chorus of pealing notes heralds your descent. Quite some time passes before you reach the end of the staircase, though the gap in the rock overhead is large enough that shafts of moonlight touch upon the sandy soil of the gorge's bottom. Here, protected from the wild winds above and fed by a pool of fresh water that bubbles up from the rock, thick moss carpets the ground, and lush, flowering vines creep up the canyon walls. An arched doorway sits at the opposite end of the small valley, the edges of which have been painstakingly decorated with colorful stones, scales, and bits of glass that have been carefully set in clay. A myriad of wind chimes hang from the top of the archway's frame, and their cheerful song seems to greet you as you approach.
Clan Windsong welcomes you, they seem to say. Be you far-flung traveler or long-lost friend, by the grace of the Wind, you are welcome here.
