Hidden in a calved ice sheet lay lairs of dragons. In the domain's northwest, the Twisting Crescendo is a persistent haze; encumbering the water with ship-high waves, the ice with endless fog. A small and primitive group of Tundras live simple lives in the frozen innards, peeking out of ice cliffs and entrances hidden in dragonmade snow wells. Below, giant shadows slowly patrol the violent waters. Plants are scrounged from crashed Arcane islets, or grown on submerged rope. Any harvest is frozen or cured. Food is simple and nutritious, with indulgent meals left for the holidays (usually as some form of coulibiac). The ice sheet is always being further carved. Most rooms are modest, except for the library; a seperate floe which holds Ice, Arcane, and Lightning literature. What small reputation the clan has is that of polite but distant rural folk. Much of their effort is spent on meeting the next sunrise, and those few they meet are rarely remembered. While a known stereotype, it nonetheless gives the impression that their minds prioritize other matters. A couple of the clan members are from established clans, long lineages, or different dragonflights. The largest apostate body is Lightning, sparking through the stormclouds above. All are to relinquish to the Icewarden, no matter one's inborn blessing. The clan's greatest skill is determing the stability and thickness of pack ice. Fall-throughs are infrequent. The cold is comforting, the snow blanketing, the ice glittering, the gales howling. |
