So you've found yourself deep in the heart of the mountains of the Southern Icefields. Very few dragons have ventured this far in, and those who do are usually not even sure what they are looking for. But what they find is a refuge of dragons searching for a new home.


The caves were originally discovered by a guardian, Korrin, and his fae mate Cilla, when searching for a home. Since then many dragons have found their way up to the caves, and as their clan grew they moved further and further into the mountains. Eventually, they stumbled upon a hidden valley— a valley they named Ashfall Haven.

Slowly, as more dragons found their way into the mountains, lost and confused and often hurt, Ashfall Haven also grew into Ashfall Rescue— a place for dragons to recuperate from the dragon wars raging outside the mountains, before going on their way to find a safe home. Some dragons chose to stay and help guard the Haven. In particular, a large group of imperials— dragons normally not social with their own species— make up the first line of reception and defense for the Haven, their focus and devotion making them perfect for rescuing other dragons and helping them recuperate, and their desire for other imperial companionship making them outliers in normal communities.
