Long ago a shadow dragon by the name of Ata had established a clan under The Shadowbinders whim. Although kind and fierce the clan suffered from poverty, hunger, and battle on many of occasions. Just when things seemed to finally get better and the clan began to flourish a neighboring clan took fear in the large numbers of Ata's clan. They waged a war like no other that they have faced. Ata's life was claimed and many of the orignal memebers of the clan had fled and scattered for their lives leaving those who stayed almost defenseless against their enemy. Then one night Ata's chosen heir Katerina awoke from her slumber to realize that a magical shadow rune was now placed on her forehead as whispy smooth velvet dark voice whispered in her mind. "You are much like Her maybe even better therefore I shall give you and this group of misfits one more chance" Katerina then felt a surge of magic develop within her. The next morning the day that would end the war once and for all Katerina and those who stayed to fight had triumphed their enemy. There was one last problem though. The place they called home was destroyed. Being born of the shadows a idea and grin splayed on Katerina's face. She claimed what was once her enemy's dwelling as her home and had offered to take in any member of the rivaling clan that would accept her as their leader. Those that did now reside with her and the others and currently live in harmony in Wispwillow Grove.
