Welcome to The Burning Blight!

LORE
Many sunrises ago, the Monarch of The Burning Beauty went missing. The only statement left from her was a note declaring that, for now at least, The Monarch's Right Talon Dragon, Cordelia, is in charge. Cordelia began allowing Necromancers, followers of the Plaguebringer, into the clan. Eventually, she declared that this clan now worships The Flamecaller and The Plaguebringer. Thus, The Burning Beauty was renamed into The Burning Blight.

The highest ranking members of the clan adore Cordelia, of course they do, but they think she's gone too far. A clan worshiping two gods? It was unheard of, and could be very bad news. These Necromancers are so strange and powerful. Not to mention the fact that they have been given nearly as much authority as The High Court! It's not a good thing.

Meanwhile, the brand new Necromancers of this clan are very content. A warm, cozy, and luxurious place to live, with plenty of power. Plus, Their Mother does seem to approve of The Burning Blight.

THE HIGH COURT
The High Court was added to the clan by the Monarch, as a way to assist and guide her as well as generally balance power. High Court members rank above every single dragon in the rest of the clan, except for the Monarch and Cordelia. The Burning Blight would never be able to function without The High Court.

THE NECROMANCERS
The Necromancers are powerful dragons who have tested themselves in order to gain power directly from The Plaguebringer. They are powerful both magically as well as within society. Allowing them into The Burning Blight has proved to be rewarding on both ends.The Necromancers are an incredibly complex society, and aren't easy to summarize.

FACTIONS

The Eyes
A group very dedicated to the traditional ideals of necromancers. They value Mother’s word and ideas above all else, and whatever she says goes. No matter how questionable it may be they follow her beck and call. Everyone who does not devote to Mother fully and completely is a heretic. They are Mother’s eyes in the Ashfall Waste, and they take that seriously.

The Cogs
An unusual and dark group of necromancers. They desire to experiment on and learn all they can about The Shade and Liches. To them, the ends always justify the means, and innovation must be prioritized among all else. It doesn't matter what is done or who they hurt so long as they gain data and insight. The Cogs follow Mother above all else, but just below her they follow The Stormcatcher; after all, who better to help them then the big boss himself? The Cogs are Mother’s great innovators, and they’ll do anything to get what they need.

The Enlightenment
A group of necromancers all hailing from the lands of light, most having grown up together. Despite their now allegiance to Mother, they still follow many of the Lightweaver’s teachings. Outside
of that however, not much is known. The Enlightenment is very powerful and very private. If you want to understand them you're best off joining or befriending them yourself.

Hey there! My name is Lynx! I use They/Them and my timezone is FR+3 (EST). I'm a highschooler with a love for dragons, worldbuilding, and my wonderful partner! I am/we are a mixed origins system so if I forget things or refer to myself as "we" that would be why! I've actually been playing FR on and off since April of 2018.
