The Clan of Fortoth


To find what all dragons seek,
Search beneath the frozen peaks,
Go through these empty halls,
And notice the scratch marks on the walls,
To join the ancient one’s keep,
You must slip through without a peep,
Once you do, you will forever stand tall,
For you are a true warrior, above all.

The ancient stone tablet was disregarded as myth many years ago, but some dragons in recent years have begun to search for the fabled “Ancient One’s Keep”. Most are unsuccessful, but those who aren’t find a wondrous site.

Deep within the frozen caves of the Southern Icefield, Fortoth lays, strong and undisturbed. Almost no dragons can find their way through the tunnels, and those who do are either fought off, or, if they are a Gaoler, are tested to see if they could not only survive, but be useful to the clan.

There is no royalty in Fortoth, but it is ruled by four dragons who make up the Council. All potential citizens are tested by them, and they are trusted to make all important decisions.

Guards patrol the tunnels connecting to the clan, and only the strongest can apply for the job. There have been many occasions of mainland dragons sticking their snouts where they don’t belong.
