Conch travelled to the Everblooom Gardens alone, her instincts pulling her into a Search she wasn't consciously aware of. She found Basic there, on his own journey, and they settled together. Yet this was not what Conch needed to find, merely laying the first roots for it to develop.

There was power in her caring nature and maternal drive, and she could be fearsome in the defense of those important to her. But strength did not ease the loss of their first children, who were born sickly, yet perhaps that was Conch's fate. This tragedy made her Search come to fruition: she sought orphaned hatchlings to take under her wing, and her and Basic's clan of two grew quickly.

Meristema is a clan founded on love and caring guidance, nurturing newcomers, young and old, just like the flora their home is surrounded by.
