A rogue shard of crystal pulsates above the Hoverview Vale, floating erratically under the watchful gaze of the Arcanist. Within its shimmering depths lies a portal to another realm. Those who dare to cross over to this world find themselves the owners of the Tangled Band, an artifact that bends the cosmic essence of the world to ferry the wearer to Tir na Nog.

You count yourself among the lucky few who have been granted safe passage, and the rosy metallic band on your finger buzzes with arcane energy. Stepping through the swirling portal that shifts between the muted and floral colors of a paradise, your surroundings transform, and you find yourself in the pleasant landscape of Avalon.

The gilded ivory spires of Celephaïs stretch towards the sky above you, and breathing in, your lungs fill with the salty air that drifts from the Thuinn, the massive body of roiling water, along whose edge sits the maritime metropolis of Dylath-Leen. To the north lies Ulthar, a city where no man may kill a cat.

Continuing your journey, you come across the Enchanted Wood, where the exposed leylines create all manner of arcane chaos. On the fringe of this massive forest is the quaint town of Mag Mell, where you can rest for the night. The next morning, you being your journey to Nav, the part of the realm that has been scarred by eldritch energies.

The region of Nav is home to the mysterious ruined city, Lost Carcosa. It is said that in ancient times, a terrible entity was released upon Carcosa, tearing the city asunder, and scattering the priceless knowledge of that advanced race across the cosmos. Now, powerful and vengeful dragons stand guard, refusing to let anyone near Lost Carcosa's secrets, lest they, too, unleash havoc upon an already unstable realm.
