When you arrive to the grassy plateau, the breeze is soft on your back and gently rustles whatever it is you have on your body than can be rustled by the wind.
There are few dragons to be seen on the ground. Those that are are either eating, napping in the sun, unable to fly but still enjoying the day, or resting in whatever nook, cranny, or cave they choose to bed in. A group of hatchlings race out of a grove of bamboo and tall grass. When they come to you, they play jubilantly with each other, the lighter one bumping into you as they go by.
The skies, however, are a different story. The clouds teem with wings, scales, and colors, the different characteristics of different breeds. They chase each other on the currents and play with airborne food or objects. Some are departing for adventure and exploration, others are coming in, gentle on the breeze, despite their newly acquired artifacts.
There are those with battle scars, but that doesn't dim the smiles on their faces.

A newcomer arrives and they are greeted. They are welcomed. They are accepted.
You arrive. And here, you, too, are welcome.
