Long ago, before the dust formed the stars and planets on which we live our lives, the dragons flew. They flew through the nebulae, breathed life into emerging stars and, in one small corner of the galaxy, they built a planet. Though our simple, human language has no ability to truly encapsulate the name that they gave it, the Royal Court has translated, as best as it possibly can, the name as “Zonoth”. On Zonoth, the dragons reigned supreme but they benevolently allowed life of all sorts to flourish on their world, watching over the course of generations as new forests grew from the ground and rivers rushed across the vales of the land and animal life rose up where it could.

Of course, the dragons, following in the leadership of their great King Pendryth, gave themselves the task of keeping peace on their great planet, and ensuring prosperity for all those who live across its vast lands. It has been many, many centuries since King Pendryth laid down his wings and many dragons have come and gone as Kings and Queens of Zonoth. Now, in the Seventh Age, the dragons of Zonoth must continue to keep peace, both amongst the lower animals and between the different factions that make them up, trade with the dragons of other worlds and times, and explore the expanse of the world their ancestors created...
