Crawling up the beach, you look back at the splinters of what was your boat. It's now just so much flotsam spread across the reef that you can barely see under the violent waves. With a resigned sigh, you look back up the shore as you stagger to your feet, then you trudge through the shifting sugar sands to the beckoning bliss of shade trees. When you reach the comforting coolness under the towering palm trees, you stand for a moment and bask in the break from the brutal sunlight. Your eyes study your surroundings, and you find two small hand-painted signs:

Beware the Rougarou

Do not trust the ~~fairies~~ VEILSPUNS

...and a small headstone only a few steps away. Curious, you are drawn to it and the simple stone reads: Sleep well Havoc.

Looking again, you see a tiny Veilspun dragon perched on top of the white stone, head hung over the side as he grieves for his lost friend.

You move away from the heavy grief that fills the beach and find a path leading deeper into the island, then surprise fills you as you step from the trees into a clearing filled with a crystal waterfall. Matching paths lead east and west from the glory before you, and choosing the west one at random, you soon arrive at a circle of huts. A glorious Ridgeback greets you and welcomes you to the island.

You have reached the nameless clan.

heya i thought i’d give you an update on Riot, He’s doing very well, He’s been at 100% since ya dropped him off ^^ Hes been fed everyday and he’s made some new friends in my lair, i gave him a familiar just because, and he said he misses you ^^

Happy solstice yourself! Unfortunately, it’s a cloudy midwestern night. Tomorrow I hope it forecasts clear skies. Jupiter and Saturn are lovely planets, though. I have characters with a friend based on celestial bodies. I hope to draw those two soon.

For some reason I imagine the dog was a terrirer in the story .. then I got to the bottom and saw she was a poodle! hehe! great lair ^-^ I love that your beautiful bogsneaks are quietly chatting about nothing important
