Many speak of the horrors that emerge from the shadows, of the unspeakable evil that makes them their home, of those that enter the shadow and are never heard from again. But they are wrong. I hear them... I always hear them. Whispering, calling, searching... Always searching.

I was born here. Raised in the darkness so many fear. I feel it's cold touch against my flesh, hear it's tormented whisper crawling through my brain, entertain the endless voices because I do not have a choice... But do we ever?
