Welcome to the Rosethorn Ruins

The Rosethorn Ruins are a collection of ancient, sun-bleached ruins, nestled into the forested hills above the Emperor's Wake. Named for the roses that grow across the crumbling bricks and pillars, the ruins are a haven for those escaping the once pleasant green fields of the Wake, now turned to ash.

The Ruins are home to the esteemed Rosethorn College, a collection of highly skilled magicians conducting research and experimenting with the mysteries of magic, and are led by the indomitable Headmaster Sigma. Many seek their advice and knowledge, and they wield a hefty amount of influence over Sornieth's magical affairs.

Aside from their academic pursuits, the College have also tasked themselves with watching over another set of ruins. Sprawling for miles beneath the earth, the mostly unexplored Rosethorn Catacombs are full of strange artefacts, new discoveries, and terrifying creatures. Investigating and protecting the Catacombs is a major task of the College's mages, and the details of what lies below is a closely guarded secret. There are rumours, however, that it isn't just magical anomalies and eldritch monsters lurking in the depths; but awful experiments of the College's own creation.
