ChainReaction01's Clan

Bastion was newly-matured Guardian dragon when he left his nest aspiring to greatness. He decided to settle in a rocky cave overlooking a swamp. His exertions were noticed by Arya, a passing Tundra dragon. In time, they mated and Bastion was both proud and fiercely protective of his clutch. Despite spending lots of time with his clutch, Bastion managed to keep up his combat training. This attracted the eye of a high-ranking Ice nest, which sent two dragons to join Bastion's new clan as a show of good faith. Both Violetta and Lanniu were friendly dragons and they soon joined Bastion in his training runs.

The sheer doggedness of Bastion's clan started to spread, and along with that went his beliefs in openness and sharing. Bastion offered to take in and train younglings of any breed and flight, and some nests chose to take him up on this offer. The first wave was a Nature Pearlcatcher, Lightning Imperial and Fire Fae. These younglings helped watch over the clutch of eggs so that Bastion, Violetta and Lanniu could continue their training.

It was a joyous day when the eggs hatched. Bastion decided that any dragons born in his clan would be named at birth, and so he christened his children even as they began to squall. It was not long before Zardette took a liking to the Fire Fae, although only time will tell if this shall result in a union.

As word of Bastion's clan spread, a Water nest expressed interest in a dragon exchange to promote friendly relations. Bastion was more than happy to agree, and he sent Inarna to learn and be trained. In exchange, Frostrun joined the clan, and the young Guardian dragon almost immediately took an interest in Bulwark.

As time has passed, Bastion now no longer looks down upon permanent mates. While he does not feel this way about Arya, the monogamous tendencies of most of his clanmates have swayed his opinions on the subject.
