The air pulses around you charged with electric magic that runs through the golden energy towers above your head. From time to time a lightning crosses the sky, thunder following closely. As you dodge the maze of wires, spreading like roots on the ground, you fail to see a flash of an electrical discharge coming your direction. When you see it, your heart skips a beat and it’s already too late.

Or so you thought.

With your eyes closed, you wait for the pain but it never comes. Strangely, you feel yourself float for a while and then an energetic but soothing voice says very close:

“Woah, mate, are you alright? You should be careful around here. Lucky you I was nearby.”

Slowly you open your eyes to match crystalline ones. The male Skydancer blinks to you and smile.

“No need to be a scaredy-cat. These lightnings won’t get you while I’m here. Now, do you know you’ve just trespassed the territory of the Kaminari Clan? Well, now you’ll have to identify yourself and your business with my clan if you desire to continue your path.”

★★ THE CLAN
Kaminari is a peaceful clan from the Shifting Expanse. They’re great workers and warriors but, specially, outstanding lightning benders. Being taught the “Way of the Lightning” by their leaders, all the clan members learned how to use electric magic in order to protect themselves and to help them on their daily chores. Nowadays they live near the Source in an underground cave hidden beneath a maze of wrapped cables and cactuses. A few meters from the entrance there’s a copper plaque with the following say: “BEWARE THE LIGHTNINGS AND WIRES, ALWAYS LOOK AROUND!”

★★★ HISTORY
The clan was founded by Sapphire, the matriarch Skydancer. She was originally from Starfall Isles, but due to misunderstandings with her former clan, she decided to part ways and raise her own family at the Shifting Expanse. With her knowledge in arcane magic, she soon learned how to bend electrical magic, a heritage which is passed to all the others members. At the beginning, Sapphire was alone but soon she found her mate, Shuten Doji, and companions in the arid lands. With time, Kaminari Clan grew and they became masters at lightning bending. Now it welcomes any dragon who seeks for a new life and a place to call home.
