... I have no idea what to talk about here.
Although, I will say that most of my dragons are named after Warframes, so I recommend checking that out. It's a good game, Warframe. Good stuff.
So far the only dragons in my clan with original names are Ranger (my first and favorite), Roma (my second and most subtly regal buddy boi) and Eridian (a gift from a friend. She's special because she's the only dragon I have that can rock the red fans that I bought early in the game.)
None of the Original Names have backstories yet, although I do have an idea of their personalities.
Also, Roma and Ranger are about to have 3 more kids! YAY! I want to get one more familiar so they can each have one. Valkyr and Chroma are gonna be older sibings! AHHHHH!!!!

I think I have an idea of a tradition. It's gonna be hard to maintain, but I'll try to find a way.
I'm going to try and give baby dragons born in the Clan a familiar as an indicator of their status. Make it easy to keep track of their heritage, I think.
