with our hands intertwined and our fangs fully bared
while the boughs we call home kiss the sea and the air

we watch the slough bubble and know what it means
we bathe in the magic of all living things
with both life and death bursting out at the seams
two sisters at war, two sisters at peace
a coin in mid air whose spinning won't cease
we're twisting and turning and growing and grasping
we're crying and singing and clawing and clasping
