Sleepy eyes flutter open.

It happened before you hatched. I was a young dragon. I had found a piece of driftwood that is now our lair. I was cleaning it out, carving rooms into it, when a passing fae my age flew by. He was injured, and had been hurt terribly. His wounds smelt infected, and ooze was bubbling out of them. I realised that he had been attacked by one of the plague bringer's dragons. He leaned against me as I pulled him into our lair. He rested and was fine. I asked his name, and he said it was Droplet. He was an exalt of the Shadowbinder, yet had seen and experienced the horrors of war and never wanted to do it again. I invited him to come, stay in the driftwood drag with me. Here, we would be safe from the horrors of war. We even ended up having eggs together! That was you, and your sibling Waveshade." Shapeshifter sighed unhappily.
