(The Imperial sitting across from you looks amused when you tell him Elder sent you to him.)

“So Elder’s too busy to tell you the story of the clan himself, eh? Alright, then, sit down and I, the great and infamous Oliver, shall give it a shot.
“As far as I know, Elder was young when he founded Stormy Haven. Hard to imagine, right? But he chose this place to serve the Icewarden in peace, tucked away from all of the warring clans nearby. He planned to dwell here in solitude, and did... Until Tsumetei and her band of warriors showed up.
“She was even younger than him, barely into adulthood when she and her companions stormed the lair and demanded Elder surrender his treasures to them. (Heh, this is where it gets good.)
“Elder, with her claws at his throat, started laughing at her. Tsumetai was so taken aback she didn’t even consider slitting his throat. She just sat there as he guffawed and explained that the Stormy Haven had no wealth, no riches whatsoever. He didn’t even have a clan- the only dragon that resided upon this snowy peak was the one speaking to her. All he had to offer her was wisdom, if she chose to stay and listen for a while.
“Much to her fellow warriors’ shock, Tsumetai sat next to him and beckoned for them to do the same. They conversed well into the night, sharing stories and striking up a surprising rapport. In the morning, Tsumetai offered to catch a meal for Elder, and, well... It was all downhill from there. They were head over heels within the week, and soon Stormy Haven was home to six dragons instead of one.
“All these years later, Stormy Haven is going strong. Obviously, or we wouldn’t be here. Brambleclaw is our only true warrior nowadays, but I pitch in with defense thanks to my trap making skills. Otherwise, everyone is fairly relaxed. The hatchlings raised here are given the option of joining once they reach adulthood, or they can choose to leave to find their own way. Elder is happy with either option, and always gives them his blessing.
“Other than myself, Elder, and Tsumetai, the only other important dragon you need to know about is Annabelle. She is the most beautiful dragon in the clan, intelligent and well spoken and incredibly gifted. She’s also Elder’s chief advisor- and my mate, so don’t go getting any ideas. We’re soulmates, and I wouldn’t want to spend my life with anyone else.”

(Oliver gets a distant look in his eyes for a moment, and sighs dreamily. When you clear your throat, he starts and focuses back on you.)

“Eh, yeah. That’s Stormy Haven for you. Don’t ask me how I ended up here, of all places, but it’s home. After all, my last clan threw me out for my pranks!”

(Oliver starts laughing to himself, and you think it is best for you to take your leave now. You leave him be, his unsettling giggles echoing in your ears.)
