A century ago, the Stormcatcher created a electrical battery, the source for all power within the The Shifting Expanse and all lightning dragons. However, it must be maintained by the most skilled electricians, and it requires a steady stream of dragons to be exalted in order to keep it charged full of energy. In order to keep up the constant demand, a clan called Batteryjuice was created by the engineers. A mock clan, Batteryjuice exists only for the purpose of buying fodder dragons and converting them to fuel.
